Jennie Scott
Ms. Jennie Scott is an experienced educator and dedicated school leader with a strong background in both teaching and administration. She began her career in 2007 as a 1st and 3rd grade teacher at A.L. Lotts Elementary, where she spent five years nurturing young learners and building a solid foundation in early childhood instruction. In 2012, she expanded her impact by serving as an Early Literacy Coach at Mount Olive Elementary School, supporting teachers and students in improving literacy outcomes.
Ms. Scott began her administrative journey in 2014 as an Assistant Principal at Adrian Burnett Elementary School. She continued to grow in her leadership roles across several Knox County schools, serving at Fountain City Elementary (2015–2016), Christenberry Elementary (2016–2020), and now Pleasant Ridge Elementary, where she has been proudly serving since 2020.
Today, Ms. Scott is honored to continue her work as Assistant Principal at Pleasant Ridge. She values the opportunity to serve alongside a dedicated team of educators, supportive families, and most importantly our incredible students. With deep passion for education and a wealth of experience in both classroom instruction and administration, she remains committed to creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for every Panther.
She believes strongly in building meaningful relationships, fostering open communication, and ensuring that all students feel seen, heard, and valued. At Pleasant Ridge, Ms. Scott upholds the belief that collaboration and high expectations are the foundation of student success. She is excited to continue supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth while partnering with staff and families to make each school year both successful and memorable.
