Non- Requests
PRES teachers are the BEST!  They love your children and seek to grow eaach one!  Each teacher is uniquely talented and brings something special out in the children in their classrooms.  If you feel strongly that you would like to non-request a specific teacher for your child for next school year, please do so in writing by this Friday, May 18, 2012.  Make the letter to the attention of Dr. Aldridge.  Every effort will be made to honor your request, however it is not a guarantee.  If you non-request two teachers in the same grade level your input will be disregarded.
5th Grade Awards Program
Monday May 21 will be the 5th grade Awards Program and promotion ceremony.  It is at 9am.  All 5th grade families are invited.  Later that afternoon, the Texas ROad House and PTO will host the 5th grade "Hoe Down" in the gym at 1:00pm.  Students may wear western clothes.  Get ready for some line dancing!
Dr. Aldridge's Resignation Letter
April 23, 2012

Pleasant Ridge Community,

I am exceedingly grateful to have had the opportunity to invest in students and build relationships within the Pleasant Ridge School community. Leading in Knox County the past two years has been an incredible privilege. Pleasant Ridge is a very special school, and I have been tremendously impressed with the level of dedication of the staff. They are relentlessly committed to student achievement and are unwavering in their resolve to work together to make a difference for kids.

You know the personal sacrifice that I made to live separately from my husband since my marriage in December. It was important to me to fulfill my professional commitment to my staff and students and finish this school year. It is now time for me to relocate to Nashville to begin a new chapter with my husband.

Thank you for the opportunity that you have given me to invest in your children.

With Professional Gratitude,

Dr. Ashley E. Aldridge
